These Frozen High Protein Banana Chocolate Bites combine the creaminess of banana with the rich flavor of chocolate while packing a protein punch. Perfect for a quick snack, dessert, or even a post-workout treat.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 ripe bananas
1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or chocolate flavored)
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
Instructions
Peel the ripe bananas and place them in a mixing bowl. Mash them using a fork until smooth and creamy.
Stir in the peanut butter until fully combined with the mashed bananas.
In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats and protein powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the banana mixture, stirring until a thick dough forms.
Use your hands to form small balls or discs from the mixture, approximately 1 inch in size. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until the bites are firm to the touch.
Melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
Remove the bites from the freezer. Dip each one into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Once all bites are coated, place them back in the freezer for at least 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
